In Delhi.
Few days later.
Gurleen was switching the TV channel and she was wrapped in a shawl. It was a chilly afternoon. Nothing interesting showed on the screen.
"Nothing interesting," sighing, she switched it off and started to walk towards her room to get some rest, but stopped in the middle, hearing the doorbell.
She opened the door to find an unexpected person at the door. Tears welled up in her eyes. She gasped, covering her mouth with her hands. Tears were now streaming down her cheeks.
She immediately hugged him. It was Karanvir, her lovely son. "Mera Bacha," she kissed his forehead.
"Maa, I'm hungry," he said, making a pout and leaning against her shoulder.
"Come and freshen up, I'll make you your favourite Aloo ka Paratha," she said, wiping her tears and running to the kitchen. Karan smiled and went inside his room.
Karan entered his room. Surprisingly, he saw everything the same as he left. It is not the first time he left his mother alone, but every time he comes home, he finds everything in its place.
He glanced at the wall, which was filled with lots of memories. A small baby boy was in his mother's arms, and she was standing along with a man. The picture looked old, but it was fresh in his mind. It was him, his mother, and his father. And many more pictures of him-some with his father and many with his mother, a few photos of him and his friends.
He stood in front of his family picture. He looked at his father and said, "Papa, I'm back."

He came back after showering. He saw his phone was ringing with his friend's call.
OTP.
"Oyeee kamine."
(Kamine: A small slang word)
"Say," Karan said, rolling his eyes and rubbing his hair with a towel.
"I and Parth planned to go on a trip. Wanna join?" Samksh Malhotra, his friend and also colleague, said.
"Nahh. I want to spend my time with Maa," he replied.
"Aree please, join us na... It's been so long since we went on any trip together. And also, I'm not asking you to come right now. We'll be leaving after a week," Samksh said to convince Karan.
"Ok, I'll ask Maa."
Saying this, they hung up the call. Throwing the towel on the bed, he came to the living room.
His mother served him hot Aloo Paratha. The ghee on it was floating, looking yum, along with some pickle. As soon as he ate a bite, he moaned.
"Heaven, I really missed this," he said, putting another bite in his mouth.
"Haa haa, leave this and tell me about coming so suddenly," she asked, resting her hands on her cheeks.
"Ohh hoo Maa, it is a surprise. And you know, I just got a call from Samksh," he said, taking another Paratha.
"What did he say?"
"He told me to join a trip wit-"
"Then go and enjoy," Gurleen said in excitement, cutting him off in between.
"Maa, I just came home. And I just want to be with you. I don't want to go anywhere," he said adamantly.
"Oh hoo, they aren't saying to come today, right?" He nodded, thinking...
"Should I go?" he asked.
"Hm Hm. If you find a girl there then-"
"Not again, Maa," he cut her off and sighed heavily.
"Ok ok, but tell them that you are in." He just nodded.
