The sunlight peeked softly through the half-open curtains, spreading golden light across the room. Karan was sprawled lazily on the bed, hair messy, blanket halfway down, still clinging to his sleep like it was the last thing left in the world.
His hand instinctively reached to the other side of the bed, searching for warmth. Empty. He frowned, eyes still closed.
